This is for anyone who feels like they should have life figured out by now… but doesn’t.
For a long time,
not having a plan felt like failure.
Like I was doing something wrong
just by not knowing what comes next.
Everyone around me seemed so sure…
clear goals, clear timelines, clear direction.
And me?
I kept changing my mind.
Questioning everything.
Starting things I wasn’t sure about.
It made me feel unstable.
Like I was falling behind
in a race I didn’t even understand.
I used to think:
“By now, I should have figured it out.”
But lately…
I’m starting to question that thought.
Who decided we’re supposed to have it all planned?
At this age.
In this timeline.
In this exact way?
Because if I’m being honest…
most of the “plans” I almost followed
didn’t even feel like mine.
They were safe.
Expected.
Acceptable.
But they didn’t feel like me.
And maybe that’s why I kept feeling lost.
Not because I had no direction…
but because I was trying to follow directions
that were never meant for me. These days, I’m still unsure.
I still don’t have a clear plan.
But something feels… different.
Maybe I’m not lost…I’m just not following someone else’s map anymore.
The pressure is a little quieter.
The panic doesn’t stay as long.
And in that small space,
I’m starting to notice things I didn’t before.
What I actually enjoy.
What drains me.
What feels real… and what just looks right.
It’s not a big transformation.
It’s subtle.
Almost easy to miss.
But it feels honest.
Maybe not having a plan isn’t failure.
Maybe it’s just space.
Space to try.
Space to change.
Space to become someone I haven’t met yet.
And maybe that’s the part no one talks about…
how much courage it actually takes
to admit you don’t know what you’re doing…
and still keep going anyway.
Not having a plan is scary, but living the wrong one is worse.
I’m still figuring things out.
Slowly.
Messily.
I don’t know where I’m going, but at least I’m choosing the path…
But for the first time,
I don’t feel like I need to rush the answer.
Because maybe the point isn’t
to have everything planned…
Maybe, the point is to build a life
that actually feels like mine.
And if that takes time…
Maybe that’s not something to be afraid of.
Maybe that’s something to believe in.
Confusion isn’t failure…it’s the beginning of something real.
The thing is, the tension between loving where I live but also wanting to leave is huge…
Because how do I know I won’t love another place even more unless I live there too…
So change is the motion of life, it’s scary but better than regrets!
Believe in yourself, be you, be the bravest person you are, and live life, don’t just survive…that’s my motto now.
