I was a boy of about 15, studying in the 10th grade — living my life as a free soul with a goal in my heart. I was an introvert and a space enthusiastic
I rarely stepped outside, enjoying my me-time by watching movies, cartoons — especially Pokémon — and space-related videos, along with my academic studies.
In our country, education is treated as something deeply important by parents. They believe that being good at studies not only raises their social status but also ensures their child will have a better future.
So, they send their children to extra coaching classes to help them improve.
Luckily, I was one of those kids who performed well in academics — but my dreams were different from others.
Yet parents will always be parents; no matter how good you are, they tend to follow the same path as everyone else.
And so, I finally joined the coaching, though I didn’t attend on the very first day.
It was the month of August , My class was on the 2nd floor , climbing the stairs of 2nd floor with a busy mind talking to myself about that science fictional film which i saw yesterday late night , pondering the creation of our solar system and visualizing its processes.
You can say i was enjoying my thoughts. Soon i find myself in front of door, i took a deep breath and open it.
I saw her.
Woosh! i didn’t know what happen, my brain had stopped its processing , like i found something more beautiful than my thoughts.
I just imagen a scene where we saw each other revolving in a pattern set against a deep, mesmerizing aurora-blue background.
She was bold, with deep, bright eyes. Her hair was thick, framing her beauty perfectly. It felt as if I had finally found the girl I had been waiting for all these years.
My heart blazed with warmth, beating wildly, as if it had finally discovered the very purpose for which I was made.
It seemed like she was experiencing the same awe, the same wonder, as if our hearts were echoing each other’s feelings.
5 seconds have been pass but seem like a hour when the teacher, standing in front of the board, cleared his throat, cutting off our interaction.
Suddenly , my brain kicked into overdrive, and in a rush, I asked the teacher for permission to enter the class.
He welcomed me and showed me a seat at the last bench. Soon, my attention shifted to the classroom. It was small, rectangular in shape, with seven columns and two rows spaced apart.
I was still watching her from the back as she talked with her friends. Three hours of class passed, and for almost half that time, I couldn’t take my eyes off her.
The class was over, and I began making my way home. Playing some music inside my head to regain my attention spam.
That evening was felt something different , it was like i was feeling the air more than the usual and the falling sunlight making it more alive.
The colony where I lived was unusually silent — something rarely seen.
On my way i suddenly heard footsteps behind me, and out of curiosity, I turned my head. It was her.
I reached my house and stepped inside, but I paused. I wanted to see where her house was, and luckily, it was just six houses away from mine.
I had never imagined, that the person my heart was about to fall for lived right next to my house. That night, I stayed up late, replaying the entire scene over and over in my mind.
That was the day i first met my crush.
