After the second or third heartbreak story in a row, you realize that cheaters aren’t as complex as they think. They may have different faces and different excuses, but it is the same damn box.
Recently, when a friend was telling me the sad story about the guy who blew up her engagement last year, and halfway through her rant, even she stopped and laughed, asking,
“Why do they all feel…. the same?”
I believe “manufactured” was the word she was looking for, and she was right.
They all tend to suddenly appear with the same charm and moral loopholes that you would be forgiven for thinking they are rolling off some assembly line out there. And one thing about cheaters is, even though the packaging changes, the content rarely does.
