Stay Away From People Who Drain You

Choose to be with honest people and build good relationships.

Writer Wang Yu said: “Often, the source of your inner turmoil isn’t you, but your surroundings. If you’re surrounded by people who mock you, criticize you, and constantly fill you with negative energy, it’s hard not to feel drained.” Your success or failure depends on who you associate with. Getting away from bad environments and people who cause you pain is key to stopping that drain.

Do you have someone like this in your life? They always blame you, even when they’re the ones who messed up. They might get caught in the rain without an umbrella and blame you for not reminding them. Or, if their work performance isn’t good enough, they’ll claim you’re the reason they failed. This is called a “blaming personality.” People with a blaming personality see no right or wrong, only their own correctness. If you get close to them, you’ll likely become their target for criticism.
