Empaths and survivors are often deeply connected to what I call the current of life-an invisible force that runs through everything. Some people call it God, Source, the Universe, Oneness, or simply Light. It’s that lifeforce you feel when you’re grounded in truth, love, and authenticity.
Narcissists are completely disconnected from it. Not by accident, but by choice. They’ve rejected the current of love and unity that flows through creation because it requires humility, empathy, and truth-things they despise. Instead, they operate in what I now understand as Separation Consciousness.
The Narcissist’s Darkness: Separation Consciousness
At their core, narcissists hate themselves. That’s their secret. Their inflated ego is just armor covering a deep, gnawing emptiness. They feel powerless because they are disconnected from the source of life itself. And when you’re cut off from the Light, you have to steal it from others to feel alive.
That’s what narcissists do-emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Their entire existence revolves around feeding off your energy. Their control, manipulation, and cruelty are all power plays-attempts to feel superior in a world where they secretly feel worthless.
But no matter how much admiration, sex, money, or status they collect, it never fills the void. It’s like taping food to your body and calling it nourishment. They are forever starving for light because they’ve turned away from the one thing that could truly fill them-love.
Some even use spirituality as another manipulation tool-pretending to be “enlightened” or “divinely gifted.” But this, too, is performance. They aren’t seeking unity or healing; they’re chasing control and validation. Their version of spirituality is just another throne to sit on, another illusion of superiority.
Unity Consciousness: The Opposite of Narcissistic Dark Energy
Those of us who have survived narcissistic abuse eventually awaken to something bigger: the understanding that everything in life is connected. This awareness-sometimes called Unity Consciousness -is the complete opposite of narcissism.
It’s knowing that when I honor you, I honor myself. When I hurt you, I hurt myself. It’s the understanding that we are all fragments of the same divine whole. Love, empathy, humility, authenticity-these are the traits of souls still connected to the lifeforce.
And when you’ve been with a narcissist, you learn just how sacred that connection is. They strip it from you, one boundary at a time, until you are empty too. But once you start to heal, you feel it return-the current, the warmth, the light.
Healing as Spiritual Warfare
Breaking free from a narcissist isn’t just emotional recovery-it’s spiritual warfare. It’s reclaiming your energy from something that sought to consume it. It’s remembering that your light was never gone; it was only buried under their shadow.
The healing journey is about reconnecting to Source-to your truth, your intuition, your divine worth. You start to realize you were never the broken one; you were simply targeted because you had something they didn’t- light.
Each act of self-love, every boundary you set, every moment you refuse to engage with their chaos, is an act of spiritual resistance. It’s how you win the war.

Narcissism is more than a disorder-it’s a spiritual disconnection. It’s the energy of separation, fear, and ego. Survivors, on the other hand, are warriors of unity and truth. We don’t just recover-we rise.
