People in the US: what is your top piece of relationship advice? | Valentine’s Day

There is a lot of free relationship advice out there, much of it conflicting:

“Never go to sleep angry.”

“Actually, sleep it off first.”

“Do everything together.”

“Don’t do everything together.”

But the most valuable relationship wisdom is often gained through experience, mistakes, misunderstandings, shared insights and happy accidents.

Ahead of Valentine’s Day, we want to hear from you. If you had to give one piece of relationship advice, what would it be? How did you come to this realization – or who gave you the advice in the first place? How has this golden rule helped foster a positive relationship for you?
