Did you ever think that meeting someone meant you’d love them forever?

Sadly, not all meetings are gifts.

Some people aren’t meant to stay with us until we’re old. Some loves are unavoidable challenges.

Love starts out hot and happy. Then, somewhere along the way, things go wrong. What used to be a safe harbor turns into a battlefield.

You give your heart, but you’re tricked, betrayed, let down, and dismissed.

You scream, you forgive, you cry over and over.

The cruelest thing in relationships is when the person who sent you to hell also took you to heaven.

But your best efforts in love don’t always pay off. Just because you start something with all your heart doesn’t mean you’ll reach your destination.

When love ends, and the connection breaks, the only way to truly free yourself is to let go of what you need to let go of and forget what you need to forget.

Don’t let someone unworthy trap you deeper in misery, ruining your whole life.

As the poet Oscar Wilde said:

“I must forgive some things for my own sake. Because one cannot wake up every night and plant thorns in the garden of their soul.”
