It’s Quiet, Lonely, and Necessary
Everyone talks about healing like it’s a sunrise ☀️, soft, beautiful, glowing.
But mine looked more like a slow storm.
No dramatic breakthroughs. Just long nights, random tears, and small conversations with myself.
Healing is not romantic.
It’s realising you still react the same way to pain, even after promising yourself you’d be better this time.
It’s trying to forgive people who never said sorry.
It’s learning how to hold peace in one hand and anger in the other.
And some days, it’s not about progress at all.
It’s just about surviving the weight of being aware.
Nobody prepares you for how boring healing can be.
No chaos, no drama, just uncomfortable calm.
Like you’ve outgrown your wounds but don’t know what to wear instead.
That’s when people disappear.
Because your healing makes them see what they still avoid.
You become a mirror they can’t stand to look at.
But you stay.
You stay with yourself even when it’s silent, even when it’s heavy, even when nothing looks like it’s working.
