It’s hard to keep believing when nothing seems to be changing.
It’s hard to keep believing when nothing seems to be changing. You wake up, go through the motions, do the right things. You pray, hope, stay kind and keep trying but deep down, it’s getting harder. Harder to keep the faith. Harder to stay patient. Harder to believe that what you’re praying for will actually happen.
We all have things we’re desperately hoping for. Breakthroughs. Answers. Healing. Direction. Something we don’t even talk about out loud anymore because it hurts too much to admit we still care that deeply.
Over time, we teach ourselves to stop expecting not because we’ve stopped wanting but because it’s taking too long or it’s not happening the way we envisioned or we feel like we’re doing everything right and still, nothing.
So we start to pull back. We stop praying as boldly. We avoid getting our hopes up. We tell ourselves, “If it was meant to be, it would’ve happened by now.”
If I am being real with you, That’s not the truth. That’s just pain speaking. Disappointment. Delay.
