NFL standout Myles Garrett scored major style points for the Valentine’s Day note he sent his girlfriend, Olympic snowboarder Chloe Kim, on Saturday.
Days earlier, Kim came in second despite hoping to win three straight gold medals in the halfpipe event at the Milan Cortina Games. But, hey, she won silver ― another medal in an illustrious Winter Olympics career.
Garrett, the Cleveland Browns star who broke the season record for sacks, let his beloved know Saturday she’s still the GOAT in her sport and in his heart.
“So proud of you!” he wrote with a photo of a flag-holding Kim celebrating her medal. “I’m thankful that I get to be by your side watching the extraordinary things you do. You fought through so much to even get to this point and you earned everything and more. The 🐐, my love and my Valentine. Happy Valentine’s Day babe.”
“My love!! ” Kim replied. “Thank you for dealing with my craziness over the last couple months. Grateful for you, forever my Valentine.”

Kim, who dislocated her shoulder before the Games, hinted earlier at what her difficulties were in a detailed Instagram post.
“A month ago, I wasn’t even sure if I’d be able to compete,” she wrote. “I was in the darkest space mentally and felt so much fear coming back. To land my run in my first final of the season was the most rewarding and validating thing I’ve ever experienced.”
Kim and Garrett have been one of the power sports couples of these Games. They perhaps don’t pack the combined social media might of speedskating gold medalist Jutta Leerdam and boxer/influencer Jake Paul.
But they’re a formidable (and adorable!) pair just the same.
