The Surprising Reason Why We Won’t See Zendaya’s “Really Beautiful” Wedding Dress

It’s one of the most anticipated celebrity weddings—and also one of the most secretive. After confirming their engagement earlier this year, Zendaya and Tom Holland have sparked intrigue over the details surrounding their nuptials. However, the couple, who prefers to keep a low profile, may not be planning to share any photos of the celebrations with the public when the big day does occur, according to Law Roach, Zendaya’s go-to stylist, who will be designing the actress’s gown for the occasion. In an interview for Complex’s “Please Explain” series, the interviewer asked the fashion icon about his plans for the star’s bridal look. Roach quickly brushed off the question, saying that he was more focused on planning her outfits for her upcoming press tours. However, he later disclosed that it’s unlikely that the public will ever get to see Zendaya’s wedding gown. 

“She and Tom are super private about their relationship, well not their relationship, but they try to be as private as possible, so there won’t be a Vogue spread, or there won’t be pictures of the wedding,” the designer said in the interview. ‘The people that she will invite will be really respectful of their privacy, so it’ll be a really beautiful dress that no one gets to see.” Even though the public may not get a peek into the actress’s attire on her big day, some fashion experts have predicted what she may wear to say “I do” to her former costar. 

“I think her bridal aesthetic will be fully in tune with her personal style: timeless, classic, and uncomplicated,” designer Esé Azénabor previously told BRIDES. As a result, Azénabor imagined her in a drop-waist dress that features a sheer organza skirt and beaded cups. However, other fashion experts said they expected the actress to opt for something a bit bolder. For example, Sharon Sever, the head designer at Galia Lahav, told BRIDES that she wouldn’t be surprised if Zendaya selects a two-piece look, pairing a fitted crop top with a full skirt.

The two actors first crossed paths in 2016 while filming Spider-Man: Homecoming. Their close relationship quickly fueled speculation that they were a couple. However, the duo waited until 2021 to confirm their status as boyfriend and girlfriend. Prior to their engagement earlier this year, Holland had disclosed his desire to settle down and start a family. “I’ve spent the last six years being so focused on my career,” he told People in December 2021. “I want to take a break and focus on starting a family and figuring out what I want to do outside of this world. The movie star also spoke about his love for children. “I can’t wait to be a dad — I can wait and I will, but I can’t wait!,” he told the magazine. “If I’m at a wedding or a party, I’m always at the kids’ table hanging out. My dad’s been such a great role model for me. I think I’ve got that from him. So I think I’d be a primary school teacher or something like that.”
