All I wanted was clarity, understanding, and an honest conversation — but that was blocked because of our emotional responses. She would break down, and it was hard for her to engage in any meaningful dialogue. She kept believing only what was coming to her mind — a response shaped by past trauma — and she couldn’t differentiate between what was right and what wasn’t. No matter what I said or how patiently and calmly I handled the situation, nothing was working in our favor. I had no other way to express my feelings, share my understanding, or create a space for a conversation built on trust. My intention was never to judge or reject , it was only to understand each other, to restart, and to fix what had broken between us.
So, the only option I had was to write her a letter. Here is how it reads:
If you truly want to fix this relationship, please read this letter completely. Read it multiple times if necessary. Try not to not assume, jump to conclusions, or react by deleting it simply because you don’t want to read it.
It’s a long message, and I have put time and effort into expressing things clearly. If you choose not to read it completely, drop it midway, or feel it isn’t important enough to give your full attention, it only means that you do not respect me and my time and effort enough to take the time to understand my perspective.
