Key Takeaways

  • Taylor and Adam’s Tuscan wedding felt like an intimate countryside dinner party, with long tables, string lights, and fresh, local food.
  • Thoughtful details like handwritten notes on menus and custom welcome bags made every guest feel appreciated and connected.
  • The couple embraced challenges like planning internationally by collaborating with a local planner who brought their vision to life.

You could say that Taylor Frankel, co-founder of the beauty brand Nudestix, and Adam Cohen were meant to end up together: Adam first noticed Taylor from the across the room at his college fraternity’s formal in 2015, but it was a missed connection. Five years later, Taylor spent time with some of his friends, and they later told Adam he needed to reach out. On their first date—a picnic in the park with both of their dogs and a pizza delivered straight to their blanket—they talked for hours, and they were inseparable ever since.

The pair dated for four years, during which their relationship survived a global pandemic and two separate long-distance stints (one when Taylor was traveling extensively for work, the second when Adam temporarily relocated to San Francisco to launch his own startup); after all that, they knew they could weather any storm together.

In May of 2024, Adam was ready to formalize his commitment to Taylor, so he asked her to take a Friday off from work (a rarity given their busy schedules!) so they could enjoy a weekend getaway in Muskoka, just outside of Toronto. The promise of great hiking and some much-needed alone time was enough to get Taylor to agree. “When we reached the top of the trail—completely empty, overlooking a still lake under a cloudless sky—Adam stepped away for a quick bathroom break while I waited on a picnic bench,” Taylor says. “Moments later, our dog, Coco, came bounding toward me with a little pouch on her collar and a scarf that said, ‘Will you marry my dad?'” When she looked up, Adam was down on one knee.

Just over a year later, on July 4, 2025, the couple said “I do” in front of 90 guests at Pescaia Resort in Tuscany. “Adam and I wanted a venue that felt like us—something beautiful without being overly polished, thoughtful without feeling too traditional,” the bride explains. The couple relied on Cristina at Le Jour Du Oui, a local wedding planner, to bring their vision of an elevated countryside dinner party to life. “Planning internationally had its challenges,” the bride admits. “Navigating time zones, language barriers, and the inevitable uncertainty of not seeing everything in person beforehand. By overall, it was a great experience. Worth with people who collaborate with you, not against you—it changes everything.”

Thanks to their clear vision and a collaborative, talented team in their corner, the couple’s wedding—and pre- and post-wedding events—went off without a hitch. Here, see their destination celebration in the photos captured by Memories Collective Studios.

“Neither of us had ever been to this part of Tuscany before,” Taylor admits of their wedding locale. “We wanted to discover something new, together with the people we love most, and create a memory that felt once-in-a-lifetime.”

Creating those memories began on Thursday night, when guests gathered for a Tuscan-style barbecue welcome party at Pescaia Resort. “It was the perfect kickoff to the wedding weekend,” the bride notes. Taylor wore a breezy Arcini Ori dress and Suzanne shoes while Adam donned a button down shirt and pants from Zara.

Seeing the welcome party space for the first time was a highlight for the bride and groom. “Walking into the space with Adam for the first time and seeing everything we had envisioned actually come to life was surreal in the best way—simple, beautiful, and exactly what we had hoped for,” Taylor notes.

“We loved that the resort grows its own food and flowers right on the property—an intentional, sustainable detail that really resonated with us,” the bride adds of their decision to host their wedding weekend at Pescaia Resort.

Much like the wedding itself, the couple wanted their welcome party to feel intimate, cozy, and communal—to that end, they selected long wooden tables for guests to sit as they dined beneath the stars. “It felt like a farmhouse feast,” the bride explains.

As a welcome gift, each guest received a custom bag decorated with the couple’s wedding logo and a custom silk scarf that the bride designed in collaboration with Brogan Scott Studio. Inside, they found a selection of Taylor and Adam’s favorite products—of course, skincare essentials from the bride’s company, Nudestix, were included, but they also added branded matches, snacks, and sleep supplements. “A little blend of beauty, wellness, and comfort to welcome everyone to Tuscany,” Taylor says of her vision for the welcome bags.

Tables were topped with gauzy linen runners and arrangements of wildflowers sourced from the property’s gardens. Fresh produce, like tomatoes and basil, and candles were also mixed across the tabletops.

Dinner was a celebration of local cuisine, and guests enjoyed a selection of grilled meats and seasonal vegetables that were served buffet-style. “The food was a standout,” Taylor says.

The bride and groom also served two light, refreshing signature cocktails during their welcome party; one was a mix of white wine, prosecco, lime juice, and soda water while the other was made from elderflower liqueur, prosecco, and soda water.

“We kept the evening relaxed but decided to include a few speeches from close friends, along with one we gave together,” Taylor says of the welcome party’s schedule. “There was a mix of laughter and emotion, and it set the tone for the kind of weekend we wanted—personal and connected.”

For dessert, guests enjoy tiramisu and cups of gelato. “It was laid-back, flavorful, and just felt right for the setting,” Taylor says.

As the co-founder of a beauty brand, Taylor knew exactly what she did—and didn’t—want from her big-day makeup look. “I wanted to look back on my wedding photos and recognize myself,” she affirms. “There were no falsies, smokey eye, full coverage foundation, or powder.”

Instead, she asked her makeup artist to give her an enhanced version of her everyday beauty look that emphasized her healthy, glowing skin. Three Nudestix products—the brand’s Tinted Cover Foundation, Nudies Blush in “Bare Back,” and the Blot & Blur stick—were the hero products used to achieve her bright, fresh beauty look.

Taylor spent the wedding morning getting ready with her bridesmaids; the group wore matching pajama shorts paired with white tops of their choosing.

Once her makeup was finished, Taylor focused on her hair. “I didn’t want to have to touch up my hair throughout the evening, so I went for a slicked-back bun,” she explains.

Though Taylor admits she always envisioned herself getting married in “something super simple,” she was willing to try on an array of different gowns to ensure she wasn’t overlooking one that was made for her. “I tried on a variety of different styles from super simple silk silhouettes to drop-waist princess gowns,” she says. In the end, she selected a strapless A-line wedding dress with a subtle mermaid skirt from Dana Harel, a look that was originally different than what she was going for.

“When I tried this one on, it felt incredibly special. Every detail on the dress felt intentional and it made me feel like the most beautiful version of myself,” Taylor explains. “Plus, my friend convinced me that this dress wouldn’t be worn by a wedding guest in a different color!”

She fell in love with the gown’s beautiful vintage-style lace and delicate floral and beaded embroideries, which was paired with detachable matching sleeves. The bride accessorized with diamond earrings borrowed from her mom, a gold bracelet borrowed from her future mother-in-law, and a long veil. “I kept my accessories super simple as the dress was quite adorned,” Taylor explains.

Taylor gave her bridesmaids freedom to select any dresses they liked so long as they fell within the color palette of sage green, butter yellow, and deep terracotta, which she selected to reflect the colors of the venue and the Tuscan landscape.

Adam wore a taupe-colored linen blend suit, which he paired with a white linen shirt and brown suede loafers. As a finishing touch, he wore a watch that had been gifted to him by his late father.

The couple opted to have a first look before the ceremony, which allowed them to soak up a little alone time before spending the evening with family members and friends. “I really wanted to have an intimate moment with Adam before walking down the aisle,” Taylor notes. “No one else in the room, just some calmness before we met the rest of the wedding party.”

Taylor explains that both she and Adam felt a sense of calm after seeing each other. They also used their first look as an opportunity to take portraits around the property.

The ceremony was held on a shaded lawn at Pescaia Resort, beneath a large tree. “We intentionally kept it minimal,” Taylor notes. “The venue was already so beautiful.”

Garden-style chairs were arranged facing a chuppah that was topped with white linen and decorated with clusters of flowers and greenery. Two larger arrangements of flowers marked the beginning of the aisle, and a woven basket was filled with parasols for guests to grab if they needed to escape the heat.

Each attendee found a custom ceremony program at their seats. “They included our love story inside,” Taylor says. “It was a personal detail we wanted our guests to experience as they sat down.” The illustrated cards served as a timeline for Taylor and Adam’s relationship, outlining everything from their first date to the proposal; they also included information specific to the couple’s ceremony.

A string trio performed during the ceremony. Adam walked down the aisle to a live rendition of “Lover’s Carving” while Taylor made her entrance to “Can You Feel the Love Tonight?” “My dad met me halfway down the aisle and walked me to the chuppah,” Taylor explains.

The couple asked a close friend to officiate their ceremony, a decision they were both very glad they made. “He interviewed both of us ahead of time, which made it incredibly personal and heartfelt,” Taylor explains.

As part of their ceremony, the couple chose to “reimagine the traditional Jewish seven blessings;” the asked seven close family members and friends to read a quote, poem, or message related to each one.

Taylor and Adam also exchanged vows they wrote themselves. “My vows were a collection of stories about Adam, reasons why I love him and promises to him as we head into our future together,” the bride explains. She notes that she included a poignant quote: “A soulmate does not complete you — they inspire you to complete yourself. A soulmate is the person who supports your direction, who motivates and encourages you to soften, to change, to reinvent yourself until you are happy. A soulmate is someone who loves you with so much conviction, and so much heart, that it is nearly impossible to doubt just how capable you are of becoming exactly who you have always wanted to be.”

At the end of the ceremony, Adam took part in the Jewish tradition of breaking the glass before kissing his new bride.

Taylor and Adam soaked up a little newlywed bliss before joining their guests at cocktail hour. The bride also paused for a few photos with her mom and sister, her two business partners at Nudestix.

During cocktail hour, guests bellied up to a mozzarella bar, where servers where hand-pulling fresh cheese for attendees to enjoy.

The couple’s poolside cocktail hour was briefly interrupted when guests hoisted Taylor and Adam onto chairs for an early hora. “It happened right after the ceremony and instantly shifted the energy,” Taylor remembers. “Guests were dancing, laughing, and fully in it. It set the tone for became an incredibly fun and high-energy night.”

“The reception felt magical,” Taylor explains, and it’s easy to see why: All 90 guests were seated at one long, communal table set beneath hundreds of glowing string lights. “Everything was kept neutral—soft linens, understated table settings, and napkins in muted tones,” the bride says of the reception’s décor. “For centerpieces, we used wildflowers grown on the property, including dusty rose and green anthuriums, mixed with tea lights and long candles.”

“We handwrote a personal note to every single guest on the back of their dinner menu,” Taylor explains of the thoughtful surprise she and Adam left at each attendee’s seat. “It took hours, but we wanted them to know exactly how much they meant to us.”

Dinner was a fresh, seasonal menu of summery Tuscan fare. The meal began with a peach and mozzarella salad followed by a light, flavorful pasta with fresh tomato sauce. Guests then had their choice of entrée: a classic tagliata, Tuscan-style seabass, or chickpea polpette. “It was all beautifull prepared and full of flavor,” Taylor remembers.

The sun didn’t set until 9 PM on the night of the couple’s wedding, and that moment was so special that the couple and their guests simultaneously fell quiet as the sun dipped behind the Tuscan hillside. “It wasn’t planned at all, but as ‘Something in the Orange’ by Zach Bryan started playing, the entire table turned to face the horizon,” Taylor remembers. “It was this quiet, collective pause that somehow captures the whole feeling of the weekend.”

Once the sun was fully down, the string lights hung over the table illuminated the space with a warm, star-like glow.

The couple chose to serve a traditional Italian millefoglie for dessert. “It ended up being one of the most memorable parts of the night,” Taylor says. “It became a bit of a spectacle as Adam and I joined the chef to help assemble the cake in front of our guests. It was interactive, fun, and a sweet way to close out the meal.”

A DJ played throughout the couple’s reception and after-party, but the musical selections were curated entirely by the bride and groom. “It was such a reflection of us and our energy as a couple,” Taylor notes. “The moment dinner wrapped, the music kicked in and the party came to life.”

The next day, guests rejoined the newlyweds for an on-site pool party, where the group was able to spend a little more quality time together before heading home. At the end of the weekend, the couple enjoyed a minimoon in Forte dei Marmi, a Tuscan beach town.

“Be as present as possible,” Taylor advises future couples. “Things won’t go exactly as planned—and that’s okay. What matters most is the energy you bring into the day, because your guests will absolutely feel it. The entire weekend flies by, and it’s such a rare and beautiful thing to have all your favorite people in one place. So let go of the small stuff, stay grounded in the moment, and really take it all in.”
