the sweet ache

You agree?”

“My life was fun with you. I hope you live well.

“I was at peace with you. I feel like I owe you my life. Until the end of time, I’ll always remember that you are the reason I am still standing here today,” balasku.

Our last conversation, our last handhold, our last dinner, and our last hug. We cried because we knew that forcing it would only keep us spiraling in the same loop of pain.

Betapa mudahnya hidup bersamamu. Our endless quests, our plans, our favorite songs, the inside jokes, and all of them. How do I just leave it behind?

But if holding on means losing myself, and if keeping this going means you have to constantly walk on eggshells… what is the point?

Kita pernah menjadi sesuatu indah bersama.

A Letter to You:

In this moment, my feelings for you haven’t faded at all. But I am choosing to hold myself to finally learn how to feel complete on my own.

As for you, live freely and well. Stop walking on eggshells for anyone else. You deserve to breathe easy. I pray to God that we can navigate this with grace and peace, without an ounce of resentment, guiding us both toward our own best paths.

Every time I breathe in the air today, I will always remember that this breath exists because you once held my hand through my darkest hours. I don’t need to say it out loud, because my very existence today is proof of how deeply you mattered to me. Forever, you hold the most honored place in my life, Kak.
