I am really loving the cars analogy with this, so I committed to the image. Also, it’s Guido. Everybody loves Guido the way he loves the Ferrari.
But enough of being distracted by one of the best trilogies (if the second movie is ignored) ever. Wednesday is a weird day to plan for. It’s not exactly the middle, but it is most easily the most neutral day of the week. Monday is the devil’s spawn, Tuesday is recovery, Thursday is anticipating the weekend, Friday is celebrating that the weekend is here, Saturday is a blur, and Sunday is just reset.
Hence, it seems like the best day to do a mental pit stop, take stock of what I feel about myself and the week, and process. So, how am I this week? Good question. I immediately respond with the fact that it was a good start to the week. Work went well, life went well. But that’s a deflection. A bad habit, I know, but it’s just the natural response that comes out.
So, how do I feeeeeeeeel? It’s a flux, to be honest. At times I am on such a high I am loudly singing C’est la Vie while driving, and sometimes I am having makhana (fox nuts, because healthyyy) while watching videos trying to get me out of a rut. Seems weird, but I got to admit, it’s a big improvement on before when all I did was have unhealthy meals and watch content. The happiness was new, and I loved it.
So yeah, moderation is required, but a range is better than an extreme. I also felt a little proud that I was somehow keeping up with all the weird self-rules I have to do every day. So much so, I am possessive about it. I did a recovery run and walked my steps. I was not supposed to do weights. But before sitting down to write this, I, for some weird reason, did an abs workout. I like that. I am taking agency for the good habits and enjoying it.
It’s also important to note that doing this today makes me realise that if it’s good, maintain it through to the next Wednesday. If it wasn’t going great, I would have an opportunity to rectify that. Feeling low is natural and it will happen, but what I can do about it is what matters, right?
So a surprisingly good start to Wednesday pit stops. Let’s face it, like a Ferrari, the cover image may never be better, but let’s hope for even better weeks.
