Yeah, overanalyzing situations won’t change what has already happened.
Haha… don’t worry, I’m one of you.
Replaying the same conversations again and again.
Going over the same scenarios.
Thinking about how much better I could have responded in that moment.
Literally putting myself back in that situation, over and over again…
imagining different outcomes every single time.
“That’s not what I meant…”
“I should’ve said this instead…”
“Why did I say that like that?”
And it’s funny, isn’t it?
We know the moment is over.
We know the other person has probably moved on.
But somehow… our brain hasn’t.
Like that one random conversation from days ago
that suddenly shows up at 2 a.m. for no reason.
And there we are again —
rewriting it, rethinking it,
trying to get the “perfect version” of what should’ve happened.
As if that would finally make us feel better.
But it never really does.
Because maybe…
we’re not trying to fix the moment.
We’re just trying to feel okay about it.
And honestly?
That’s a very human thing.
Overthinking doesn’t always mean something is wrong with you.
Sometimes it just means you care.
You care about what you said.
You care about how you made someone feel.
You care about being understood.
And maybe that’s not such a bad thing.
But maybe…
not every moment needs to be replayed.
Maybe not every conversation needs a better version.
Some things were okay as they were.
But here’s something I’m slowly learning…
One bad conversation
doesn’t mean every conversation will go wrong.
One awkward moment
doesn’t define who you are.
And one bad experience
doesn’t mean the next person…
or the next opportunity…
will be the same.
Not everyone is judging you.People don’t even have time to judge you… they’re too busy dealing with their own fears.
Not everything is falling apart.
And not every moment needs to be fixed.
Sometimes…
we just need to be a little kinder to ourselves. To accept that we’re learning.
We’re growing.
And we’re allowed to not get everything right. Make mistakes because if you won’t how would you know if it is a mistake or step towards growth and what if it all works out?
Do it wrong , do it tired , do it embarrassed,
because what if it’s all right?
if you won’t take one step ahead now how would you reach further on 10/20/50/80/100th….
