Allison Williams and Alexander Dreymon Wore Wedding Rings to Met Gala

Though Girls star Allison Williams and Alexander Dreymon, an actor best known for his role in the Netflix seriesThe Last Kingdom, have been together since late 2019, they’ve done a good job at keeping their relationship out of the public eye. They welcomed a son, Arlo, in secret in 2021 and announced their engagement in 2022. Now, it appears the pair might have taken their relationship to the next level in private: On Monday, May 6, 2024, the duo attended the Met Gala and were spotted by Brides editors wearing what appear to be wedding bands on the red carpet.

Williams has been sporting what looks like a classic round-cut diamond engagement ring on a simple gold band for some months, but recent photos also show the addition of two new rings on that same important finger. The one worn closest to her knuckle—the spot traditionally reserved for a wedding band—appears to be a plain gold band; the outer ring seems to feature an array of colorful stones.

For his part, Dreymon seems to be wearing a new piece of jewelry, too. Photos from the Met Gala red carpet also show him wearing a simple band of either white gold or platinum on the fourth finger of his left hand; that same piece of jewelry is notably absent in photos of the actor taken earlier this year.

So, did the two tie the knot in a hush-hush ceremony? It’s certainly not outside the realm of possibility, especially for this private couple. After they welcomed their son in 2021, a source told People, “They are both private people individually, and they made the decision to keep this happy news to just a small circle of family and friends. But they’re over the moon.” The source also added, “The couple “haven’t been hiding or anything. They’ve just been doing their best to keep a low profile.” Keeping their wedding news private would be in keeping with their personalities.

If it’s true they’ve officially become husband and wife, this would be Williams’ second marriage and Dreymon’s first. The actress married entrepreneur Ricky Van Veen on September 19, 2015, in Saratoga, Wyoming, during a ceremony officiated by Tom Hanks. They announced their split with a joint statement on June 27, 2019.
