The piece, which many experts have identified as an elongated cushion-cut diamond, is reportedly the product of Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry, according to Page Six. Rather than simply selecting the sparkler, the football star reportedly played a key role in helping design the stone.

If there was any indication that Lubeck was a Swiftie, it would the release of The Vault Collection, a group of jewels that her company was working on for over a year. The announcement post, which begins with the phrase “from the vault,” may be a nod to Swift’s tracks that include those same words. “Before she embarks on seven weeks of intensive high jewelry-training, Kindred has decided to release these pieces into the world,” the description of the collection reads. “Each one was made to bring wonderment to the wearer. Because jewelry should be more than just beautiful, it should make you feel something.” It includes 11 unique antique- and vintage-inspired jewels, which range from $4,300 to $33,560.

She was once told she would “never be a jewelry designer.”

It’s clear that Lubeck has had to prove a few people wrong when carving out her career path. “Kindred Lubeck was once told that she would never be a jewelry designer,” her website reads. “That’s when she decided to be a jewelry designer. She is a goldsmith, hand engraver, and vintage jewelry collector.”

She moved to New York City in 2023.

In a 2024 interview with Voyage Jacksonville, Lubeck, a Florida native, detailed the difficulties of starting her company. While she had been working with her father, a goldsmith, for a number of years, in August 2023, she said she had the idea to move to New York City and launch her own online-only jewelry business. She was eventually able to permanently relocate to the city in June 2024.

She specializes in hand engraving.

“I am a goldsmith specializing in hand engraving (think of it as tattooing rings – a lot of people confuse engraving with “etching”),” she told Voyage Jacksonville. “Basically, I take very small, sharp instruments and cut away bits of metal, usually on the sides of rings, into a particular design.” It’s this type of work that put her on the map—and may have even led the football star to her.

She’s a detail-oriented person.

Like Swift, Lubeck prioritizes attention to detail. “I am naturally very meticulous, but my father also instilled very high jewelry standards in me as well,” she said in her 2024 interview.
