Are Jalen Hurts and Bry Burrows Married?

On Sunday, February 9, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts notched his first Super Bowl win, beating the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. However, even though the football star just experienced the biggest win of his athletic career, he may have another reason to celebrate. After spotting a band on the fourth finger of his left hand, fans speculated that the Texas native may have secretly tied the knot with his fiancée Bryonna “Bry” Burrows. 

When he arrived at the stadium before the match-up, Hurts sported a monochromatic purple ensemble. Giving a nod to his own brand, the phrase “Breed of One” appeared in red lettering on the collar of his shirt. He completed the look with patent leather shoes, black sunglasses, and a Coach duffle bag. However, it ultimately was the band on his left hand that truly stole the show, as the piece seemed to indicate that Hurts may in fact be a married man. 

While the duo first sparked engagement rumors when Burrows appeared to be wearing a diamond on her left hand at the match-up between the Eagles and Green Bay Packers in São Paulo, Brazil on September 6, 2024, the couple waited another week to confirm their future plans. Sharing images of the engagement with Essence, Hurts created a romantic set-up— complete with a violinist, votive candles, and red roses—to pop the question to Burrows. “I knew a long time ago,” Hurts previously told the outlet about his relationship. “I mean, to this point in my life, that’s an irreplaceable feeling. I think that’s what allowed us to get to where we are now.” 

The football star and Burrows, who works in artificial intelligence for IBM, first crossed paths as students at the University of Alabama in 2016. However, even though the two have been linked for years, they’ve kept the majority of their relationship out of the public eye. It wasn’t until 2023 that they made their red carpet debut for the Time100 Next List, of which Hurts was nominated, donning matching all-black ensembles for the occasion. And in January 2023, after the Eagles beat the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship game, Burrows joined Hurts on the field to celebrate his victory. In a video posted by FOX Sports, the AI partner can be spotted hugging friends and family members at the stadium. 

Burrows also joined the Super Bowl MVP on the field after the game this past weekend. Wearing a vest, miniskirt, and tall boots, she quickly embraced her fiancé in a congratulatory hug. And a day after his win, the couple headed to Disney World to continue the celebration. Fans cheered on the quarterback as he and Burrows headed down the central street at the amusement park. The tradition of heading to the “Happiest Place on Earth” after winning the championship dates back to 1987, when the quarterback for the New York Giants, Phil Simms, declared “I’m going to Disney World!” after clinching the title.
