The Less You’re Loved, The More You Should Love Yourself
I saw a video online:
A couple got into a loud argument on the street. The girl got so mad she took off her jacket. Then, she even took off her bra.
It hurt to watch the girl not love herself like that.
We often value relationships too much. We think that if we lose that closest person, we have nothing left. We might even give up and let ourselves fall apart.
But no matter how much you’re hurt, even if you feel completely down, you can’t give up on yourself. If you don’t love yourself, no one can help you.
Only you truly understand your pain and sadness. You have to walk every path yourself. Don’t punish yourself because others don’t love you. Don’t hurt yourself for people or things that aren’t worth it.
The less respect you get, the more you should respect yourself. The less you’re cherished, the more you should cherish yourself.
Chi-hsun Chiang said, “The first person you should love in your life should be yourself. Write poems for yourself, talk to yourself. Quiet down in a space and listen to your heartbeat and breath.”
