This is my story
I have had trips, where ten days that told me more than I could ever phantom.
Ten days. In the grand scheme of a lifetime, ten days is a short time. But it can tell you so much.
You never know just how comfortable you are with someone until you are with them from the very beginning of the morning until the very lasting forcing your eyelids open to try (keyword try) to be the last one that gets the last word in.
The in between those moments are all defining in some way or another. Is there going to be a huge gap of silence because you find there is no bridge between you two and that one either has to find a topic or try to find some common things to actually say something.
Or…
There are such minimal moments of silence that there is always something to talk about. No order. No structure. Conversation after conversation. And the best part of it all is that it feels natural. Nothing feels forced. You desire to speak because you want to share. And you intently listen because you want to hear. And the more you listen the more you want to know. And the more you talk the more you want to share.
It continues though, because you are no longer just sharing moments. You are living life together. Privacy still exists. But not the…
