For every Heartbroken Person!
You never really learn to unlove someone;
You don’t forget what they meant to you or how the sun sparkled on their face.
You never forget what color of jelly beans they loved, nor the faces they made when those got stuck in their teeth.
You never stop despising the dog that barked at you, always spoiling the surprise visit you planned for them, and how you hid in the blankets to talk to them, staring at the moon.
You never really get over the finer details of their faces, the contours of their skin, their birthmarks, and the positions of the moles on their body. After so many years, you still remember the scars that lined their skin or the warmth their arms would give you.
You never really learn to unlove them.
You still remember the fall that you both had while learning to do a headstand for the first time, or the way you cracked up together looking at the funny movie on your terrace one night.
You still remember the way they clung to you after puking on the pavement after a mad, crazy party, and their intoxicating eyes oozing out of love for you.
