Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld are officially husband and wife. Just a few weeks ago, on May 31, 2025, the duo tied the knot in Santa Barbara, California. However, many of the details of their big day weren’t made public—until now. In the most recent edition of her newsletter, Beau Society, Steinfeld included photos of their celebration and described how it unfolded. “Hi! I’m married. We’re married,” the Sinners star wrote. “I’m sitting here with Josh, and we’re reminiscing on the best weekend of our lives for the millionth time.” (The pop star added that they had just returned from their honeymoon. ) “Over the past two weeks, random yet very specific memories have been popping back into our heads, and we’ve been blurting them out to each other, often through smiles, laughs, and tears,” she wrote.

In the newsletter, alongside the photos, Steinfeld—with Allen’s input—described some of the couple’s favorite aspects of their celebration, which was planned by Mindy Weiss. However, in addition to the festivities being a reflection of their personal taste, the A-list duo also incorporated a number of this year’s most popular wedding trends into the festivities. Themed Signature Cocktails

The duo’s signature cocktails at their welcome party, which featured a dress code calling for “vibrant elegance,” were a ‘Brando Old Fashioned’ and a ‘Teenie Tiny Margarita.’ “It felt like a garden party, so fun and an entirely different vibe than our wedding day, which was ‘all-black black tie’ and felt very classic and bold,” Steinfeld wrote. However, even though the aesthetic may have differed, the drinks seemed to hint at the Old Hollywood-inspired theme planned for the following day.

A Phone-Free Wedding

The couple played into the popular trend of a phone-free ceremony, wanting their loved ones to be disconnected from their digital devices during their nuptials. “We had a no-phone wedding—we wanted everyone to come and be present,” Steinfeld wrote. “Looking back, it was one of the best decisions we made.”

Having Breakfast Together on Their Wedding Day

Rather than waiting for a first look or the ceremony itself, Steinfeld and Allen opted to spend the hours before their nuptials together, embracing a modern trend. “On the morning of our wedding, Josh and I met for breakfast just before 7,” the singer wrote. “I’m so glad we did that. I don’t think I could’ve gone the whole day without seeing him! We had a little spread, which included my favorite lemon ricotta pancakes.”

A Unique “Something Blue”

Rather than opting to don a blue accessory, Steinfeld put a modern twist on this time-honored tradition by asking her mother to fill the role. “Fittingly, my mom was my “something blue” all weekend,” she wrote. “She looked absolutely stunning.” In the photos included in the actress’s newsletter, all of the guests appear in black attire, while her mother dons a light blue gown with a cape.

An After-Party That Mixed High and Low Elements

Following their reception, the newlyweds ventured to their after-party, which mixed both high and low elements. “Our underground after-party (we had a sound ordinance to comply with) included a DJ, cigar bar, lots of Angel Margarita, grilled cheese sandwiches, and chocolate chip cookies served with shot glasses of milk,” Steinfeld wrote. Guests enjoyed burgers, fries, and Champagne at the late-night fête.

A Portrait Studio

Turning to one of the top wedding trends of this year, Allen and Steinfeld incorporated a portrait studio into their celebration. “We had a little portrait studio by The Collective You for our guests at the after-party,” the actress wrote. “My friends are still talking about it. The photographer was amazing (shout out Denis!). I’m obsessed with how the portraits turned out.”
